Yarrow Collection's goal is to create one of a kind, ethnic and world inspired shearling coats and other wearables, with consideration and regard to detail, the preservation of beauty and comfort, and use of the highest quality materials.
For over forty years, Cindy Spolek has designed and produced her line of world inspired, contemporary shearling coats, vests and hats in her studio at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in Santa Fe, New Mexico. We invite you to discover the classic styles that have earned Cindy her loyal following of those who have an appreciation for integrity of design and beauty in long lasting handmade clothing.
Designer Cindy Spolek selects from the finest garment grade sheepskin available from points around the world. Some of her styles will feature special fur or printed suede trim, or hand woven fabrics with buttons of bone, resin, silver or pewter to accent the features of a coat or jacket. Every piece is made from hand-selected hides and is sewn with a durable #69 nylon thread of a color compatible with the body of the coat. Some coats are lined, others are reversible and most feature the natural sheep fur interior, the reverse of the suede outer surface.
Color possibilities are numerous. Some colors are available consistently while others are more rare short runs from our suppliers and are limited. Our shearling coats are color-fast and each garment comes with printed instructions for care, storage and cleaning. All of our shearlings follow an ethical use of materials so that none involve rare, exotic or endangered animal products.
The outer surface is most often a brushed suede, however some styles feature a smooth finish with a dull sheen or other outer surface treatments. Cindy's coats are laid out and traced with hard patterns so that they run true to their women's and men's sizes, extra small through extra large. This allows her to guarantee her customers a correct fit with an often free alteration and an exchange or refund policy within ten days of receipt.
Once the coat or jacket has been laid out, cut and stitched, the piece is combed and brushed, buttoned, inspected and finished to full satisfaction and prepared to be shipped to customers around the world. Domestic shipping is by FedEx and insured. Normal non-expedited shipments take approximately 3 days to most points on the East Coast. The Spolek label inside represents our trust in the excellence of design and construction and our confidence in our customer's satisfaction.
